Holy shit it’s a small world. My favorite musician directs a trailer for a company I interned and worked for in Los Angeles this past semester?!
I was at HARD’s Haunted Mansion two-day festival in October for Halloween, and having experienced that plus watching this trailer makes me wish I was going to be back in LA for HARD Summer 2012!
So GROUPLOVE’s debut album just came out last week, and it’s been in my car’s CD player exclusively ever since. The original of this song is on it, as it was on their earlier EP, and it remains one of my favorite tracks from the band. However, my friend theryancampbell tweeted this remix at me today, and it’s absolutely fantastic. As I told him, I’m not usually one for remixes, but this is an exception.
Check out the original here, and the whole album here.
Ellie Goulding | Your Song (Blackmill Dubstep Remix)
A little late on this one, but it’s still an amazing track. How is her stuff so easy to remix?
I’m not usually one for dubstep, but there are so many things going on in this that I just LOVE. The original, Goulding’s cover (I’ll reblog anything and everything by her forever), AND the remix. <3
This is literally the only dubstep remix I can tolerate when I’m sober. I do quite like it though. I’ve listened to it about three times in a row, about to go for a fourth.
Thanks to my friend Krishna (@ohtheuniversehasbeenwaitingforme) for posting a link to this. I almost skipped right past it without investigating, but I couldn’t pass up something to do with The White Stripes. I’m not usually one for hip-hop but I’m definitely grooving to this right now, especially the Eminem track (no surprise there, I’m sure). I don’t know when this project began or how long it’s been completed, but I’m sorry I didn’t hear about it before now.
