I think this is the best live version of Closer To The Edge. O_o
“Closer to the Edge” | 30 Seconds to Mars
It’s been too long since I’ve watched this video…
There’s a part of “Closer to the Edge” where Leto screams “No, no, no” and in the video, you see him thrust his arm and the crowd of thousands follow his lead. It’s as powerful as a music moment as I’ve ever experienced and I wasn’t even there to witness it. I want to be in the crowd singing with their fans, weeping away my sorrows and wiping away the tears of joy because the sensation their songs provide is a reminder of how grand and wonderful life truly is. If it’s been a while since your heart skipped an extra beat seek out “Closer to the Edge” and This Is War and be prepared to feel more alive than you have in years.

30 Seconds To Mars - Closer To The Edge @ TV Total
Love this, though all the reverb (is it reverb or just weird video feedback?) threw me off at first. How many other artists do you know that leave the “stage” area when performing on a TV show to interact with the audience? I’m guessing not many if any at all.

Interview with 30 Seconds To Mars plus Closer To The Edge live
Obligatory post-EMAs video blog numero dos. Also, just lovin’ it.
This sounds pretty autotuned too, right? When he starts singing.. that’s not 100% live. :’D But I’ve talked about this 58438908435 times before.
Actually, that sound barely tuned at all. Just the normal amount of live performance editing. Not nearly anywhere near as bad as what I heard earlier this morning! I think he was having a really good day here.
It all has to do with the mic settings rather than him not singing it 100% live, you can use “auto-tune” on a live mic.
His singing is never perfect live, so I would be surprised if his mic was auto-tuned at all, but I suppose anything is possible. Personally, I think he just has a killer voice.
Reblogging more for the video than the comments anyway.
